Phony Macro Virus Warning/Alert (Apple/Dune Zero/EMO12)

   (MACRO VIRUS ALERT)!
   WARNING !!!
   There is a macro virus going off on Oct 1!!!
 We've also seen the warning with other dates substituted for October 1 (most commonly November and December 1st). The hoax continues:

    All computers installed with windows 95. Are installed with
    this virus. It is a time bomb virus. Microsoft has already
    apologized for the mass breakdown of computers around the world
    on that day. However they had yet to come up with a remedy.
    Some versions of win95 are safe but some are not.
 The claim claim that you already have the virus installed with Win95 sets this apart from prior hoaxes. If such a claim were true, it would certainly make the evening news and if it were true, you would be instructed how to identify the virus and how to remove it. (This hoax does neither.) The hoax continues:

    *** Please Be Careful, and forward to all your on-line friends
    A.S.A.P. Not a lot of people know about it, just let everyone
    know, so they won't be a victim. Please forward this e-mail.
 This hoax (as do most others) ends with the suggestion to forward this to all your friends. If you see similar instructions, you can assume you are seeing yet another silly hoax.

    P/S : This piece of E-Mail is actually the latest
    invention by Apple@Inc known as EMO12/Tech~ (Virus
    Antidote). Upon receiver of this message. Your PC will be
    purged of all version 1,2,5,8 & 10 virus. That will
    include the MACRO VIRUS in Wins95.( please send this
    message to other WIN'95 user before Oct 1) Additional Info
    : Mr Bill Gates was so touch by Apple@Incs'rescue that he
    decided to bury the hatchet(War) between Windows System &
    Apple System. Therefore he has up to date invested 30
    million in Apple@Inc. ( An abstract from an E-Mail, from a
    senior system engineer from Apple@Inc to a home-user in
    Holland Village area. ).
